The past couple weeks have been really fun. I have been working on it and fortunately getting everything together. I will list the progress I am having:
- Choose different brushes to stamp the images.
- Upload any image from the web.
- Save the canvas to your device (only on firefox at the moment but i'm trying to find other ways.)
- Choose different shapes (Circles, rectangles or triangles) to draw on the canvas.
- Choosing colours for general drawing. (just need a bit of tweaking until it works perfectly)
So as I mentioned above, I can upload any image from the web onto the canvas. But I want to try and figure out how to post the user's own image. I think I can do the file uploading via PHP onto the server and maybe get the address of the image and use the same method of how I upload the images from the web.
As for saving the canvas, I'm still trying to figure out how to do it on other browsers but the javascript library I downloaded seems to be having trouble. It says it should work for most browsers that support canvas but I'm not sure what's going on. I might have to find another javascript library...
My plan for next week is to fix the problems i'm having right now and to get most of the tools functional so that i can work on the menu part of it - saving, uploading, opening existing documents, etc.
